Magic Night Recipe

Today I'd like to show you how you create your own absolutely magic night. You will be blown away by the results.

All you need is:

For the smell
- pine trees
- tea trees
- a hint of lemon
- scent "Australian Bush Flower Mix"
- slightly salty air

For the soundtrack
- most important: MASSES of crickets, this type please:
- a wild and foaming ocean with lots of waves
- occasional bird calls (only occasional, since most of the birds seem to enjoy their nightrest)
- occasional tip-toeing of some nocturnal animal

For the visual effects
- most important here: the endless, wide, deep, incredibly three-dimensional, breathtakingly rich, spacious, peaceful, soul-mirrowing Australian night sky with its billions and billions of stars (which is impossible to EVER be captured on a picture)
- full moon is optional, but if you want the ABSOLUTE magic atmosphere you shouldn't take a pass on it
- and last but not least you need "Mrs Possum", the special nocturnal guest who can also enrich your soundtrack if you surprise her with your presence (ever heard a possum screech? I have to admit that I was pretty surprised! It's loud and quite impressive as it's intended to be)

...guess who is here...

...light please...

...Hello Mrs Possum!
(...very interesting creatures, these Possums, and since we especially wondered about the tail (as you can see in the picture above, it is naked and kind of reminds of a teat) I share some information about it here for those who are interested. It's called a prehensile tail and it has adapted to grasp or hold objects. Fully prehensile tails can be used to hold and manipulate objects, and in particular to aid arboreal creatures in finding and eating food in the trees. And possums also have pouches, like kangaroos, where the newborn possum babies climb in. At the beginning they are only 1.5 cm long and weigh 2 g, and still they are able to climb through the fur of the mother, unaided, and attach to a teat where they still spend 4-5 months. Pretty cool, isn't it? Nature is so clever, always!)

Well, that should be all ingredients for your Magic Night. I hope you can fully enjoy it, as much as I do almost every night! :)
